Online casino to be controlled and taxed as to exist in South Africa

On Thursday, South Africa’s Minister of Finance Trevor Manuel, publicized a new statement being appealed to the government – the Interactive Gaming Tax Bill.
This ruling, if carried out, is going to tax total gambling income external from operators within the online gambling business. Web sites in or relating to business in South Africa are likely to be object of a special tax.
This tax was the subject of discussion in the National Gambling Amendment Bill, an act that issued in South Africa 5 months ago. The regulation gives strong ruling of online gambling. The government announced strong national oversight was the best course for national gambling policy, 'as opposed to it left in the hands of offshore authorities, with little or no protection for local consumers.'
