Casino News: PIONEER LEADERS IN ONLINE GAMBLING INDUSTRY ARE WORKING FOR A COMMON ISSUE

Recently held London trades show experienced a high –level roundtable conference between top-notch officials associated with the online gambling industry. Main propaganda of this meeting was to introduce a brand new international code of conduct in online gambling procedures.

Microgaming, reputed software giant in the present market was convener of this round table discussion. Microgaming mentioned the urgent requirement to review the current system in the industry and argued for implementation of a globally accepted single common code. Both Software providers & separate operating website will come under the same roof by practicing single code.

GamCare, a UK based pioneer company on problem gambling & eCOGRA (E-Commerce and Online Gambling Regulation and Assurance), an autonomous player protection body will work together in this issue. Both of them are supposed to meet with in next week to chalk out the necessary frame work required for this project, that is planned to be finished by the next autumn. These two companies will combine their present codes to produce a new level of framework, supposed to be demonstrated at an International summit later this year.

All leading figures from the online gambling industry were present in that wide ranging roundtable discussion. But the special attraction was Portman Group, which was invited to demonstrate how the leading players in the drinks industry had united within the UK to sort out the problem in drinking industry.

In this context, the statement of Roger Raatgever, CEO, Microgaming is also important. He quoted, “Contrary to some of the reportage on this industry, much is already being done to address issues surrounding responsible online gambling. However, we recognize that the current situation of having a number of codes of practice covering a diverse range of areas is not ideal for the industry or the players. The formation of one clearly defined international code demonstrating best practice with a unified voice will strengthen communication to both the players and the industry as a whole.“
