Economic recession impact continued

 May 13, 2009, 7:26 am (2 years ago)
According to Business Week, Atlantic City land casinos kept on fighting back the slump in April 2009, with the 11 casinos drawing 14.2 % less income compared to the previous year. On the other hand, like latest Vegas figures, there was an indication of good expectation in the fact that the drop was not as big as that in March 2009.

Mark Juliano, CEO of Trump Entertainment Resorts said: “It went up a bit from the bottom; that’s a good way to look at it. The economy is still a key factor.”
According to the Business Week, the casinos won $313.6 million in April. Slot revenue, dropped 14.9 % to $220.6 million. Table games delivered $92.9 million, dropped 12.5 % from a year ago.
