Ј1,500 No Limit Hold ‘em competition

 September 23, 2008, 10:24 am (3 years ago)
The World Series of Poker Europe’s 1st event, a Ј1,500 No Limit Hold ‘em competition, had 491 applicants make a prize pool of more than Ј650,000 with Ј144,000 for the top player.

A lot of pros lasted into the money, but for Daniel Negreanu and Andy Bloch, the last table was unreachable. But Neil Channing, a British pro who lately saw victory in the Irish Open and perhaps the most well-known name at the table, revived from being semi-short-stacked previous to now positioned at the last table with just below 200k, positioning him in 5th place.

The chip leader is Adam Junglen, who has been a leading force during the competition. He has more than three-quarters of a million in chips in front of him, about a 1/3 of the entire chips in play.
