Paddy Power an Irish online betting group will be increasing their German language version site to Spanish which will focus on football.

This new website is different from their online sites at UK, Ireland and Germany whose main focus is horse racing.

The company is already on its process t recruit Spanish speaking staff. They are hoping that this website will be able to function at the start at the football season in Spain on September and they may open a number of betting shops in Madrid.

Spain has been one of the most appealing bookmaker’s destinations like William Hill and Betbull who partnered up recently and expectantly many would follow their move. Paddy Power hopes to benefit in Spain’s lucrative betting markets.

Gambling in Spain has been estimated to $30.53 billion in cost annually and it is expected to gain at least $52.5 billion on 2010.

Online gambling in Spain is estimated to be worth $5.7 billion on 2010 and Paddy Powers over half of $60 million in profits is generated to online operations last year.

Patrick Kennedy, the Chief Executive of Paddy Power announced earlier this year, the company will be testing opportunities to expand the business to other countries such as Italy, Poland and Portugal.
