Alderney and Gibraltar Regulators have Different Views on Online Gambling RegulationJanuary 17, 2012, 4:14 pm (10 months ago)The latest reports on evidence of Parliamentary Committee for Sports, Media and Culture for regulation of British online gambling has revealed a difference in views among the speakers of Gibraltar and Alderney. Last week, during the hearing of Parliamentary Committee, speakers Andre Wilsenach from Authority of AGC (Alderney Gaming Control), while Philip Brear from GGC (Gibraltar Gambling Commission) have given their opinions about the appearance of two ex-ministers of Labor Party, responsible for matters related with online gambling during their official terms.
These two speakers from well known gambling regulators, Gibraltar and Alderney have given different ideas on the way, in which regulation of online gambling activities will be applied in the future. On one side, Wilsenach from AGC has given stress on strict regulation of online gambling, while Brear has given his stress for accepting status quo. In fact, Brear has given his concern more towards the relationship of his Commission with the regulator of United Kingdom.
