Scott Paterson a 41- years-old man who was an ex-head cashier has stolen $51,860 from the Merchant City Gala Casino. The accused is now in jail. He admitted his fraud and reveled that first he stole reserve chips from the storeroom and then mixed them to the livestock of chips. He then took the corresponding value of the casino chips he added.
On 8th of March, auditors first identified this difference. All the cashiers were asked about it but none of them had any explanation. Suddenly Paterson came and admitted that he caused this discrepancy. He commented, “Call the police, I am to blame.”
Scott Paterson then committed his gambling addiction as well. Paterson use to add reserve chips with the one already used in the casino. Between October 2010 – March 2011, Paterson committed his fraud that he misused his position and stole $51,860.
