Basically, there are no gambling restrictions in India, but the legislation does not cover online gaming. As gambling in casinos is not allowed in most of India, it’s natural to give people the idea that online casino gambling is unlawful as well. The government does not wish to deal with licensing online gambling, but there are no policies against it.

Young generation of Indian are not left ambiguous regarding the regulations, thus they stay away from playing any online casino games because they are fearful about being charged with a criminal activity. Consequently, they prefer computer games including EverQuest, WarCraft and Second Life. A lot of Indian people are willing to spend considerable amounts of money on purchasing virtual assets even if they do not profit anything from it.
