Internet gambling in China trouble ahead

 January 4, 2010, 12:15 pm (1 year ago)
The Chinese government warned that online gambling sites have a bad influence on society as they made an announcement of Internet pornography prosecution statistics this week to continue the operation of “purification of the Internet.”

According to the Associated Press, Beijing’s persistent regulation of cyberspace and efforts to block the Internet are by now one of the strictest restriction in the world.

The Ministry of Public Security revealed this week the “purification of the Internet” and attacking the online crime are intimately connected to the country’s steadiness.

A Ministry spokesman stated they are going to concentrate on China-based operators of offshore-registered Web sites and companies that offer Internet services, or register domain titles, or rent virtual space with inappropriate content. The ministry provided rewards to members of the public who offer helpful details in policing attempts.
