September ‘09 figures from the Nevada Gaming Control Board indicate winnings from gamblers at land-based casinos in the state dropped in September for the consecutive 21st month.
Land-based casinos statewide earned $911 million from players throughout the month, a 9 % drop compared with the same month in 2008.

Taxes earned during September income summed up to $54.3 million, a 14.6 % drop from the same month a year ago. For the economic year that started July 1, the gambling win has dropped by 10.3 %. The September numbers indicates the amount left in land casino coffers after gamblers wagered $11.6 billion at slot machines and table games, a drop of 4.2 % from the same month in 2008.
However, officials pointed out that the figures marked the 2nd month in a row where drops have remained in the single digits.
