Alderney adjusts licensing structure

 October 28, 2009, 11:22 am (2 years ago)
The Alderney Gambling Control Commission has finished the augmentations to its licensing regime after local government authorization, and is at present ready to start up its latest product in January 2010.

AGCC CEO, Andre Wilsenach, says that the changes is not going to involve a major change in regulatory scheme but recognize the basic changes that are being conducted in the eGambling business.

“The new scheme aims to make Alderney well-suited with other regulated jurisdictions in the world, especially Europe, where the regulation of the business-to-customer relationship is going towards the point of consumption,” Wilsenach stated. “We are going to keep on going into the deals with regulators in Europe and in another place, with the aim of aiding regulatory cooperation and jurisdictional equivalence.”
