The Abu Dhabi Economy and Planning Department has strengthened examinations at game and video parlors positioned within hotels across the Middle Eastern emirate in a new clean-up on gambling activity, as said in reports of the newspaper Khaleej Times this week.
The new enforcement activity follows the sequestrated of 190 gambling tools and the taking into custody of 19 people for supposedly participating in gambling games at parlors in some hotels in the capital last week, according to the newspaper.

Mohamad Al Rumeithi, Director of the Commercial Protection Department, told that the department would make sure that the game centers do not utilize machines for gambling games to get youngsters’ pocket money which is in opposition to the regulation, and that officials in his department are paying examination visits in management with warrant-armed police.
