Arrests in Malaysia

Kuantan police chief ASP Mohd Jasmani Yusoff explained: "The raids at Air Putih, Jalan Beserah and Gebeng found out that the cyber cafes had been utilized as a front for online gambling. The premises owners had abused the operating licenses given [for Internet cafe operations]."
The twelve accused are all in their 20’s and 30’s and have been detained under Section 4 (1) B of the Common Gaming House Act 1953, news agency Bernama reports.
