Cyberscan Technology Announces Interim Results

The provider of new technology for the gaming industry, Cyberscan Technology Inc, has announced its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2006.

Financial highlights report an increase in turnover from £7.1 million in the same period last year to £11.4 million, with a pre-tax profit of £2.6 million. The cash balance for the period stands at £15.9 million, a significant increase on last year’s total.

Company Chairman Sir Michael Wilkes commented, “Cyberscan's position as a leader of server-based downloadable gaming technology has been reinforced in 2006, and we are now in a position where we can build on this strong technical background to take the Company to the next level.”

Business highlights chart contracts with Ladbrokes to supply 7,000 next generation Fixed Odds Betting Terminals (FOBTs), the continued roll out of Interactive Video-Lottery Terminals in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic, plus the licensing of the Technology, Platform and IP to operators in Italy and South Africa.
