The list of famous poker pros challenging in the opening Asian Poker Tour is increasing like never before, with new stars putting their sights on the top awrads in the east.
David Saab, 2008 APT Philippines Champion, ranked 46th in the 2008 World Series of Poker $10,000 Main Event and has revealed to a variety of sources that he is going to be participating in Macau for the second leg of the tour.
Four big Asian pros have as well confirmed that they are going to fight in China – JC Tran, Nam Le, Quinn Do and Steve Sung by now participated in the Philippines event and are going to be aiming to prevent Saab from making a repeat first place finish.
JC Tran is now the top-positioned player in the Bluff Magazine power rankings with above $6.7m in tournament profits. Nam Le has sequences of high finishes in important events with above $4.3m in tournament winnings below his belt. Quinn Do and Steve Sung are also winning players with almost $4m in awards between them.
APT Macau is going to be held at the Galaxy Star World Hotel and Casino from August 27th to August 31st. The assured awards pool is $1,500,000 with the winner getting no less than $500,000.
