A national gaming regulator in Philippines

Suarez suggests the creation of a National Gaming Commission that would manage the regulation of government-sanctioned gambling and gaming operations in the country to make the most of the government's income from all legally recognized gambling, reports the Phillipines News Agency.
This will be affected by government to take the role of a regulatory body on gambling and gaming, to take more tax and profits fees while improving the cohesion and protection afforded by regulation.
Suarez, chairman of the House oversight committee said, “we can ensure maximisation of earnings from casinos, lotto and sweepstakes operations, small time lottery, cockfighting and horse racing games and other numbers games if we centralise all government regulations and supervision over gaming and gambling in the country.”
He also said that the government was currently unorganized and segmentalized in the regulatory sphere. His proposal could affect business presently managed by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp.
Representative Suarez predicts a body run by a Commissioner and four deputy commissioners, each in charge of a sector by gambling type i.e. casinos, lottery operations, cockfighting and horse racing and with appropriate staffing arrangements.
