Antigua vs. USA delay

 June 25, 2008, 9:51 am (3 years ago)
There still is not positive result for the settlement between Antigua and the United and yet another World Trade Organization deadline has passed.
The World Trade Organization was informed by the two parties this week that they had agreed to postpone the arbitration proceedings and continue to seek compromise to bring years of litigation to an end. July 11 2008 is the new dead line agreed by both parties.

Dr. Errol Cort, Antigua's Minister of Finance and the Economy told the Antigua Sun newspaper that both sides will continue discussions. Dr. Cort and Ambassador to the WTO John Ashe are leading Antigua and Barbuda’s negotiations, facing a US delegation headed by Deputy U.S. Trade Representative Ambassador John Veroneau.
