Software: Odds On
Silver Dollar Casino was established in 1997 making it a relative old-timer in the still-developing online casino industry. The home page of this casino also attempts to entice new players by promising 100% pure casino action. Unsure as to what exactly this meant, it was with an inquisitive frame of mind that we decided to review this casino.

Part of the English Harbour Group, Silver Dollar Casino operates using Odds-on software, one of the lesser known software types. Whilst the casino is seen at its best when playing on the download version, a mini version of the casino is available via the Flash browser plug-in, and for those not wanting to download, the casino thoughtfully offers the software on CD which can be ordered from the website.

As the download required is a hefty 11mb in size, it did take us a while to obtain the software. However, this process was smooth and before long we had installed the software and had signed up as a new player. The new player registration process is also straight forward - a simple bit of form filling being all that is required to join the casino.

After spending a bit of time getting used to the software we headed to the cashier to make a deposit. We deposited $100 via NeTeller, although other popular deposit methods are available (Credit Card, Firepay etc.) However, users of more unusual deposit methods should note that Siler Dollar appear to only accept the more mainstream deposit options.

As a new player we also received a $550 bonus that was added to my account about a few minutes after we have completed our deposit.

With the $100 sitting in my account, we headed for our favourite game and the most popular of the table games available at a casino - Blackjack.

The betting limits at Silver Dollar are reasonable for the low roller being $2-$200. However, some high bettors may find this higher limit slightly disappointing.

For us though, the $2 betting king, we were perfectly happy and settled down to play some cards. We had not really played at an Odds-on casino before so really didn't know what to expect. However, We have to say that the game play was pretty good. The graphics are above average and although maybe not quite as good as some competitors, were definitely good enough for us to want to keep playing! The game play was also pretty fast-paced which was again to our liking.

Silver Dollar Casino is very much recommended!

Wow, this casino is great.
I made $11,000 in two hours of playing roulette.
It's time to make a withdrawal...

p.s. onlinecasinoextra, thank you for letting me know which casino still accepts Americans.

Like English Harbour the Silver Dollar Casino sucks when it comes to paying out. I put in for a withdraw on the 4th of June and as I write this it is the 22nd of June and I still haven't recieved my money. As far as I'm concerned the roulette and blackjack tables are either fixed or monitored. The ball jumps in and out of winning numbers as soon as you get a few bucks ahead.

I just played last night on Silver Dollar, made a $30 deposit, cashed out $600.00 and only played slots. So far, I like it, will have to see how long the withdrawal process really takes. I did the electronic check method.

Definitely a bit skeptical with the blackjack and roulette games at Silver Dollar. It's as if the software used is triggered when your up. I noticed this because when you "Play for Fun" you are up and stay up for as long as you play. When you make your deposit and play for "Real Money" EVERYTHING seems to change. Before long your account reads"$0.00". I've learned my lesson!
