Golden WSOP bracelet for Goldberg

Fred Goldberg, a 31 year old gambler, has won the World Series of Poker's so-called "Event#40", a $1500 Mixed Hold'Em tournament. His prize includes, apart from the World Series Of Poker golden bracelet, a complementary $204935 cash Let's talk about the Event#40 of the world Series of Poker. In Mixed hold'em championship the prize was taken by Fred Goldberg, who earned not only a gold WSOP bracelet but also a prize in money, $204,935.

The Event#40 marked the opening of the WSOP games this year as it was the first to be opened. There had been a rotation of games, alternating Half Limit Hold'Em, and Half No-Limit Hold'Em, and this mix appeared right from the beginning.

Goldberg's performance in last year's World Series of Poker was modest, having occupied only the 10th place, but with earnings of over $1150000 in prizes. He came back in 2007 however, to claim his rightful place on the podium. Goldberg affirmed in an interview with Arthur Crowson, that he was disappointed with his last performance, but this year he proved he's near the top pros after receiving the golden bracelet.

The game had Carlo Lopez be its first victim, and the player was first to be eliminated, but still carried back home $12252 after only three days. Next off was #13, Reza Sand, who finished 8th and brought home almost $17000 in earnings.

The second day had its victims as well, like Michael Craig, but the player had a solid performance and went home with $22813 in his pocket. Next off was Joe Brandenburg, eliminated by Goldberg, and received about $30500 for finishing the 6th.

A battle between Rene Mourtisen, Kevin Marcotte and Scott Bohlman came up in hand #61, with winner Mourtisen. Marcotte was the first one to be eliminated by the others, but carried short of $40000 with him. Bohlman followed, unable to take down Mourtisen with his King and ten adgainst all-in Aces and King of the winner. Let's hope the app. $55000 didn't leave him a bad experience.

The next eliminated was Neisert, took down by the bracelet winner, and left the game with $ 82,804.

The final intense battle was between Goldberg and Mourtisen. Both players flopped a flush on hand #125, but Goldberg's was bigger. At the end of the competition the title of champion was assigned to Fred Goldberg who won the gold bracelet and $204935 in earnings. Mourtisen finished in 2nd place and earned $125895. At the end of the competition Goldberg said that he played smart though and he didn't afford for mistakes.

The winner wants to contiune playing Mixed Hold'Em tournaments, No-Limit in special. Now he's going out of town for a while but he'll return for the next event.
