EPT chief executive John Duthie explained, “An EPT tournament in Poland will help raise the game’s profile in Eastern Europe, and we have secured a world class venue to host the event in Warsaw. This tournament is not going to be televised, but I see this as an exciting first step for the tour.” The EPT is Europe’s richest poker tour with over Ђ7 million paid out in prize money so far in Season 3, with more than 500 players winning EPT seats via PokerStars.com.
