The latest decision by SuperiorPoker.com goes against the trend of many companies seeking refuge in emerging markets in the wake of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA).
Online poker room SuperiorPoker.com has announced that it has resumed taking bets from poker players in the United States who will now able to deposit real money through a variety of methods and play real-money poker games at the Kahnawake licensed site.
SuperiorPoker.com which opened in 2003 and uses software provided by Action Poker Gaming, is legally licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission and owned and operated by Sonsorol NV in Curacao, Netherland Antilles.
The poker room’s manager Charles J Burton said, in reference to the UIGEA, “We're serious about all players, and we continue to believe that online poker is a skill game and is not affected by the recent legislation passed in the United States.”
He continued, 'We will provide the best and most exciting poker games and tournaments to all players including those who reside in the US, and are 100 percent committed to providing a unique and professional poker room for many years to come.'
