The worlds of politics and poker are going to meet next week when previous 3-term New York Senator Alfonse D’Amato comes to the World Series Of Poker (WSOP) 2009 in Las Vegas to participate in Event 43.

D’Amato is the present Chairman of the Poker Players Alliance, a non-profit association organized to assist to guard and fight for the rights of poker players in the US, and is going to come to the Rio All-Suite Hotel And Casino on Monday to have a morning press meeting. After that he is going to be at tables at noon for the Seniors No-Limit Hold’Em World Championship.
