PokerStars has announced the grand opening, on Thursday, March 19, 2009, of the new 'PokerStars Macau at the Grand Lisboa' live poker room. This is going to be held on the 2nd floor of the Grand Lisboa Casino, Macau. It is going to hold 22 tables and 24/7 play.

As said by the World Champion and Team PokerStars Pro Joe Hachem, PokerStars is devoted to the expansion of poker across Asia, and this new room is going to be its core. It has been astonishing for him to see the expansion of poker culture through out 18 months since the PokerStars.net Asia Pacific Poker Tour first brought poker to Macau.
