Day 1A of the Asian Poker Tour’s 2nd-ever Manila leg started yesterday with 2 WSOP bracelet-winners amongst the players who had paid the $2,700 to participate in the event.

Amongst the field was 1990 World Series of Poker Main Event winner Mansour Matloubi and Philippines native Toto Leonidas. The final gave the order to “shuffle up and deal” and play was on.

In general, 75 participants were there to compete in the 1st day, starting with 10,000 in chips and playing through 10 one-hour blind levels. 19 players survived through the day. Arce is the Day 1a leader, rest followed by Suzuki, Anders Andersson, Derek Hernandez, and Eddie Hearn. They are going to see the faces of the survivors of Day 1B tomorrow.
