Ahead of the $1.5 million assured APT Macau, that is on from the 27th – 31st August, the Galaxy StarWorld Casino Resort and Hotel are going to be hustling with the appearance of the world’s best poker players. However, today is also a exciting day as the APT officially hits town!

At 3.30pm, the APT Poker Room on Level 2 is going to start. This is followed at 4.30pm by book autograph in the opening space by US poker star Doyle Brunson, the ‘Godfather of Poker,’ who has won ten World Series bracelets and is the most respected poker player in the world. Doyle is going to be on hand to be with enthusiastic until 6pm. At 7pm a particular charity Celebrity Poker Challenge is going to be held by leading poker competition director Matt Savage, with proceeds going to Caritas De Macau, the social service organization of Macau.

The competition is going to be with stars from poker and further afield fly in particularly for the occasion. Manny Pacquiao, across the world seen as the best pound for pound boxer in the world and the 1st Asian boxer to win 4 world titles in diverse divisions, are going to be united by actor Michael Wong, singer Renee Dai, commentator Angie Mak and models Natalie Ng, Erica Yuen, Janice Man, Cha Cha and Wylien Chiu. Other attendances are going to be Miss Hong Kong winner Tracy Ip and cult glamour model Tila Tequila. Poker star Doyle Brunson is also going to take part, and is certain to consider his opportunities of winning in opposition to the greener line-up.

The APT Macau is a USD $5300 ($5000+$300) competition, with the people like Johnny Chan, Todd Brunson, J.C Tran, Kenny Tran, John Juanda, Liz Lieu, Nam Le, Quinn Do, Steve Sung, Mel Judah, Huck Seed and APT Manila champion David Saab all anticipated to participate.
