Voting on Bluff’s Reader’s Choice Awards gets underwayAugust 2, 2007, 3:23 pm (9 years ago)Popular United States poker periodical Bluff Magazine has announced that it has begun accepting votes for its yearly Reader’s Choice Awards.
Bluff co-president Eric Morris said the magazine’s producers were delighted with the previous Bluff Magazine Reader’s Choice Awards, adding that it was good to give the reader a say. There are an increased number of categories this year including ‘Best All-Around Online And Live Poker Room’, ‘Favourite Pro Poker Player’, ‘Most Entertaining Player to Watch’ and Best Live Tournament. Bluff Magazine’s European counterpart Bluff Europe has also been busy. Last week it announced that it has joined forces with Riley’s snooker halls to distribute free copies of the specialist poker publication to poker players in the UK. Riley’s, a pool and snooker hall chain, has full poker facilities in 130 of its 170 venues around the United Kingdom. The firm recently launched its own online poker room, Rileyspoker.com. Over the summer, players have been playing live games towards a league table in Riley’s ‘King of Clubs’ competition, where the top six players from each club qualify for the Area Final and the top five from each Area Final make it to the Final. The National Final is due to be held on Sunday, August 19 at Riley’s Solihull and carries a guaranteed top prize of Ј10,000. Bluff Europe is Europe’s most widely read poker publication, the largest in the UK, aimed at the poker enthusiast. The magazine is distributed through European card rooms and poker clubs as well as on newsstands in the UK, Germany and Scandinavia. Regular contributors include Phil Laak, Roy Brindley, Hollywood Star-turned-poker pro Jennifer Tilly and a host of other poker professionals from the UK, Europe and the USA.
