Casino News: Extension of Taxation Rule for Betting Companies of Ireland

Extension of Taxation Rule for Betting Companies of Ireland

 March 14, 2012, 8:18 am (8 years ago)
MA (Minister for Agriculture), Simon Coveney has recently announced some remarkable amendments in the betting taxation rule of Ireland. This is because; they want to make sure that state funds are receiving a massive share of revenues from betting events. At present, they have applied 1% tax on turnover of only betting outlets. However, based on the inputs from all of the interested betting and gambling companies, Simon may extend this taxation rule for both mobile and online betting punters of Ireland.

The extension of taxation rule for betting companies situated in Ireland and betting companies at the offshore lead them to have licenses from government of Ireland. This is because, without having operating licenses, they would not be allowed to provide betting products and services to punters of Ireland. Furthermore, Simon has intended to bring certain amendments in the betting law.
