This time, Jack Abramoff, who was one of the notorious and influential political lobbyists for punting US gambling, has now resurfaced himself as an author. The biographical book of him is named as ‘Capitol Punishment as Hard Truth about Washington Corruption from US Notorious Lobbyist’. In this book, he has given suggestions about the ways of improving US lobbying laws in order to fight effectively against the special interest corruption.
He stated that merely restrictions for blandishments of entertainment and gifts for politicians are not sufficient to eradicate the problem of political corruption. Rather, he recommended that the political contributions should be ban from the lobbyists as well as from everyone, who are getting federal contracts or receiving benefits from the public funds. Another precaution against anti-corruption as mentioned by lobbyist is the restriction of the office terms of politicians. This would prevent the politicians from too much involvement with rich lobbyists, who promote their special interest groups.
