A Lithonia, Georgia, a very lucky lady hit the jackpot and now$25 million richer this week. What makes this story interesting is that this big win was due to the a store clerk's "lucky" mistake.
According to the UPI news agency, Kathy Scruggs, 44 year old of Lithonia, claimed her winning money Monday at Georgia Lottery HQ.
She announced that her huge hit was occurred by a mistake. Here is how it went. She asked the staff at the convenience store where she purchased her ticket for a Mega Millions ticket, but the staff gave her a Powerball ticket for the September 14 draw instead. And she won!
She did not mind to go with the clerk's mistake and purchased both Powerball and Mega Millions tickets. Was she happy about her decision, the Powerball made her a winner of a life-changing prize on numbers 16-41-42-50-59 and Powerball 5.
