Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESA) has awarded their esteemed 2011 Award of Merit to Choctaw Casino Resort, Oklahoma. They got this reward for their excellent lighting design. In the year 2010, Choctaw Casino Resort was opened and it consist 27 LED lighting groups. These lights are controlled and used to create wave patterns, which gives eye-catching effects.
Executive director of Choctaw Casino Resort, Janie Dillard commented, “Our vision behind creating this new resort was to create an iconic design, which is easily recognizable.” Apart of Award of Merit, this Casino Resort, in Durant has also received 2011 Lumen West Award of Excellence from IESLA.
Choctaw Casino Resort owner invested $300 million in its renovations and it was given an iconic design incorporating various shapes and elements, along with a vibrant diamond-shaped pattern. Other designs were paying homage to traditional Choctaw art.
