Recently, Carver Police authorities have reveled a lottery scam, committed by Jamie M. Ferreira. This accused used fake lottery tickets as guarantee for loans. He has been charged with larceny. Jamie M. Ferreira convinced the senior citizen that this lottery would surely make her a multimillionaire.
The victim of this scam has lost huge amount, however the police officials have not reveled the exact amount of the scam. Victim is an elderly woman from Carver and her relationship with Jamie M. Ferreira is not clear. As per a police spokesperson, this old woman was the only victim of the lottery fraud.
Ferreira's lawyer said, "My client is not at all guilty and he is sure that once the investigation gets over his name will be cleared from this offence." The bail was set at $100,000 and on 19th of September; this case will be resumed in Wareham District Court.
