This year, gambling revenue of Macau has shown a drastic increase of 48 per cent in July as compared to last years. Government statistics revels that the visitors from China have shown continuous growth in the world's largest casino gambling market. As per the Wall Street Journal, "Revenue collected in May was the highest one which was then followed by the one collected in July. The reason behind this was the holiday season and the opening of a new casino resort by Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd., which boosted the revenue."

Gambling revenue of Macau rose to almost 45 per cent in between January to July. In China, Macau is the only city where gambling is legal.
