Pettitte's a Yankee... Again
After Andy Pettitte posted a 14-13 win/loss record with a 4.20 earned-run average in 2005/2006 season, his reward will be heading back to the "Big Apple" after recently agreeing on a one-year, $16 million deal last Friday, with a player option for 2008.
Since Pettitte left for Houston, whom he helped take to the 2005 World Series, the Yankees have had several pitchers in their rotation but none of them, from Kevin Brown to Javier Vazquez to Randy Johnson, has had the kind of postseason success that Pettitte had during his nine-year run in New York.
