 March 1, 2010, 11:36 am (1 year ago)
The Bulgarian government is operating on the right track out of gambling taxation, as reported by the Sega Daily newspaper; quite well that revenue disclosed by gambling companies went beyond those of the whole Bulgarian banking system in 2009.

According to the newspaper, casinos and bingo halls paid BGN 99, 5 million of income tax, whilst the total contribution of Bulgarian banks to the state budget is going to be BGN 78 million from their BGN 780 million earnings.

Late last year the likelihood of augmenting Bulgaria’s tax on gambling to 15% from January 2010 was the focus of public discussion following a Finance Ministry examination indicating that boosting the tax on the pastime was supported by 84% of respondents.
