Casino News: Online Gambling transaction prohibition in Norway

Online Gambling transaction prohibition in Norway

 February 24, 2010, 4:57 am (1 year ago)
Norway has just instigated a prohibition on the processing of any unofficial online gambling transactions. The Payment Act was just issued into regulation and it orders an instant crack down on all financial transactions that involve unlawful online gambling. This regulation is comparable to the UIGEA.

The regulation has received royal authorization and that is enough to be implemented as an enforceable regulation. It doesn’t make online gambling payments unlawful unless it has something to do with gambling at an online casino that is not licensed by the Norwegian government. The latest regulation law makes it a crime for financial service suppliers to offer service in the transfer of payments from Norwegian players to unlicensed online gambling websites.
