Casino games can seem like easy games to make. There’s usually not a lot of demand for great graphics, good background music, or any kind of extras, especially in a handheld Casino title. However, since there’s not a lot of concentration on the extras, you’ve got to be sure that all of the basics are in place. Sega Casino for the Nintendo DS has plenty of games to choose from, but did they get them right? Pull up a chair, buy a stack of chips, and we’ll take a look.

You’ve got five casino games to choose from at the start, with four more to unlock. There are two basic modes of play- free mode and casino mode. Free mode is exactly what it sounds like. Play any of the games at your disposal, and any chips you gain or lose will not affect your game overall. In casino mode, you play the same way you would in free mode, but any chips you earn can help you unlock new games or rooms (which lets you bet higher).

I will keep playing this game for the sole reason that you can play up to 5 person multiplayer with just one game card. You can’t use the Wi-Fi connection (I can’t wait until the first DS Hold ‘Em game comes out that does), but if you have a few friends who own a DS, you can all play cards together, without having to shuffle after each hand. The single card multi-player is exactly the kind of thing that will make a casino game worth playing- but for $29.99, some people may not think it’s worth it. If you have a few friends who have a DS who like to play, you’ll probably get your money’s worth, but you may want to hold out for the first casino game to come out that uses the Wi-Fi connection.

Platform: Nintendo DS.

Rating: 8/10.

This would be awsome!, I have started out recently to get all the good gba games I had and try them out once more in nov 2004 I bought golden nugget casino for the gba by Majesco Games.. I played it now, it features variety of casino games, including Blackjack, Craps, and Roulette. I would recommend it to anybody that likes casino related stuff. If you have the time, money or patience, get it you'll be instantly hooked!
Believe me it's worth the time, money and effort. I was hooked when I first got it. I liked how you're able to play games like Blackjack and Roulette.
I liked how the sound was just perfect! I could hear without turning up the volume that much, great game... but I must buy the one for DS now, with touch screen it can't get any better.
