February 21, 2010, 1:12 pm (1 year ago)Apparently, the moves made by British Columbia, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces in Canada to enter the online gambling have encouraged some new consideration in Toronto, as well.
According to the Toronto Star, the latest Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation chairman Paul Godfrey has suggested that the county takes a different look at providing Internet gambling as possibility to raise incomes.
“When you understand what is taking place in British Columbia, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces … it’s something I would explore,” Godfrey commented in a news conference Friday as he took the wheel of OLG.
“Money is going out of this province to other provinces in addition to offshore sites,” he commented.
