Casino News: Online Casinos vs. Horse Racing in the US

Online Casinos vs. Horse Racing in the US

 December 27, 2009, 10:57 am (1 year ago)
Online gambling in the US has a double standard. Unfortunately, the government in the US is not accepting some figures of online gambling, whilst letting other forms to be conducted. The state of Illinois has by now licensed online gambling for the horse racing business, and other states are going to be providing online gambling shortly to their residents. The DOJ keeps on attacking sports betting and online casino companies that are carrying out the business abroad where online gambling is illegitimate, whilst they completely take no notice of the online betting operations carried out in the US.

Now that the UIGEA postponed in December and additional co-sponsors being included to Barney Frank’s bill to authorize the online casino business, there are more than some hopes for players that online casinos are going to soon be in a line with online horse racing and fantasy sports. Sadly, the DOJ and some republican members of Congress are not playing fair, but the public protest for legitimate online gambling may ultimately shut down their attempts and provide the players with freedom to gamble online.
