Casino News: Poland passes limiting gambling regulations

Poland passes limiting gambling regulations

 November 22, 2009, 11:47 am (2 years ago)
The stressed Polish government’s efforts to ease the pressure from politicians by passing additional restraining gambling regulations made an extra move on Friday as Parliament passed laws that detain gambling to licensed land casinos and demolish gradually the slot machines at present found in a lot of Polish cafes, clubs, shops and service stations.

“Barring any surprises, I hope the president is going to be able to sign his signature [to the new laws] as of November 30,” Prime Minister Donald Tusk told the Agence France Presse news agency.
The Polish Senate voted for the amends by 48 votes to 3, with 30 nonparticipations, supporting the endorsement of the new legislation in the lower parliamentary chamber Thursday.
