The International Poker Network (IPN) managed by GTECH G2 lately had its bad beat jackpot won for more than Ђ601,000. This indicates the fact that one lucky player walked away with Ђ210,000.

The IPN is one of the world’s biggest independent poker networks with more than 3 million players. It runs a Ђ100,000 Guaranteed Freeroll Tournament every Sunday as well whilst there are almost 10,000 players battling at over 1500 tables at any given time.

The winner saw online contestant ‘Roger2010’ walk away with Ђ210,508 following his quad eights were defeated by 4 queens on a Ђ0.50/Ђ1 no-limit table. Additionally, the winner of the hand, ‘o1nfl1p’, won the gigantic prize of Ђ105,254 while the game’s other players was each rewarded with Ђ15,036.

“We increased the jackpot last week so that the next winner would get no less than Ђ100, 000,” stated Per Karlsson, Head Of Poker for GTECH G2.

“As the total Jackpot went more than Ђ600,000, we had a feeling it was about to be hit.”

The last time IPN’s bad beat jackpot was hit was in August for $412,000 with that winner not even recognizing their prize until someone else at the table let him know.
