Casino News: Online casinos shifting its operation abroad

Online casinos shifting its operation abroad

William Hill, Ladbrokes and other key British bookmakers are going to be shifting their online casino and betting services from the United Kingdom to abroad.

For instance, William Hill plc is going to be transferring its management to its Gibraltar headquarters. Ladbrokes has recently revealed it is going to follow the track previous to end of this year.

The reason for this move chosen by both online casino companies is mostly because of the tax, as Gibraltar takes from gambling companies a lower tax rate than the UK - 1.5 percent compared to the UK's 15 percent.

Gibraltar's policy supports online casino companies to shift management and services to its region. It effortlessly beats the expensive taxes that companies are required to pay if based in the UK, as stated by Ladbrokes Chief Executive, Chris Bell.
