The European Poker Tour (EPT) has revealed that it has changed the location of its forthcoming Russian Open competition from Moscow to the Ukrainian capital of Kiev after the course of legislation last week that prohibited the sport in all but for particular areas.

The new PokerStars.com EPT Russian Open was ready to be running from August 17 to 23 at the Radisson SAS with World Series Of Poker key event finalists Ivan Demidov and Alex Kravchenko.

The name of the event has been changed to the EPT Kiev Sports Poker Championship and it is going to be held at the Kiev Sports Palace from August 18 to 23 under the directive of the Ukrainian Ministry Of Youth, Family And Sport and in corporation with the Ukrainian Poker Federation.
