Pennsylvania aims to regulate gambling

 June 25, 2009, 3:43 am (2 years ago)
The Pennsylvania state administration is planning to issue a new regulation aiming better shields public officials from gambling industry incentives, according to Business Week.

The proposal went through the state Senate’s Community, Economic and Recreational Development Committee this week following several press conferences and legislative hearings revealed apparent inadequacies in the state’s casino ruling.

The bill aims to restore a strict prohibition on cash contributions to political reasons by gambling business managerial and investors. This follows a state Supreme Court ruling in April this year in which a previous 5-year-old alike prohibition alike was struck down on grounds that a whole prohibition on involvements went further in practice than called for.
