According to the Copenhagen Post newspaper in Denmark, the state gambling monopoly Danske Spil is to head a new organization targeted at cutting fraud in European football. The recently-produced monitoring body is going to look to avoid match fixing by referees and players.

Titled the European Lotteries Monitoring System (ELMS), the latest organization is a co-operation with European football’s governing body UEFA and is going to formally start operations in August. Amongst the competition to be examined by ELMS are the Champions League, the European Cup and all European national team matches.
