Casino News: Minnesota censorship yet unsettled

Minnesota censorship yet unsettled

Apparently, the Poker Players Alliance claim that they succeeded in shortening a Minnesota enforcement department effort to put Internet gambling operations at ISP level in the blacklist might have been untimely.

In a weekend announcement, iMEGA chairman Joe Brennan Jnr., stated that his association had connected with the Minnesota attorney-general’s office and the Department of Public Safety in attempts to settle an agreement, but so far, there is no indication of the settlement with closing accord.

The statement indicated that press reports that iMEGA has announced success in this issue are incorrect. “While we cannot speak to anything relating to the information other organizations or officials are basing their own public announcements, it is the position of iMEGA, the Minnesota attorney-general and the Department of Public Safety that no settlement contract exists at this time, and that statements of other parties outside of the negotiation are provisional and hasty.
