A Royal Bank of ScotIand International spokesperson verified the conclusion to EGR and stated that it followed a review “….to comprise changes in the legal and regulatory systems in the countries in which we operate”. The spokesman contradicted that the decision was a result of joining Dutch banking giant ABN AMRO, the Dutch retail operations of which fall under the control of the government of the Netherlands.

Dutch banks lately was facing a lot of pressure from the government to stop the progress of online gambling financial transactions in a independent move which has caused a European Commission investigation and a private authorized action by betting group Betfair.
