Sweden plans to cease online gambling sites

As said by the reports, the Swedish government is taking into consideration to censor the Internet with the intention to guard a control on gambling.

A government-commissioned gambling report, issued lately, has a suggestion indicating prohibition Swedes from entering foreign online casino and poker sites.

As said by Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, the report has encountered some serious criticism, as Swedish ISP's and authorities have mainly censured the suggestion.

People are anxious that this move could cause extensive restriction, as presently under Swedish regulation, it is not illegitimate to gamble on foreign sites, much less visit them, even with the monopoly.
