Sweden fails to stick with EU regulations
April 1, 2009, 3:41 am (2 years ago)The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) gave their statements to the public conference on a report managed by the Swedish Ministry of Finance into the gambling market in Sweden, which completed today.
The Association, the biggest of Europe’s key online gambling groups amongst its members, stated it regrets Sweden’s constant lack of obligation to stick to European Union law.
The conference was held following the Nyren report was introduced to the Swedish government on 15 December 2008. The Nyren report aimed to suggest “long term sustainable gaming regulations”. But it did not succeed to give a basis for future rule in EGBA’s view
