 February 12, 2009, 9:12 am (2 years ago)
According to the Martinsville Bulletin newspaper Collinsville, Virginia police searched 5 places this week with official search warrants, confiscating 66 computers, about $3 000 and office tool in the area in an anti-online gambling swoop.
A spokesman at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office reported that, search warrants were conducted on 4 Internet Cafe places in the county and one in the city Monday.

Sheriff Lane Perry said that clients at the businesses could get a card for any dollar amount, but he was not aware whether a credit card or some other type of card was being used.

The dollar amount was transformed into “tokens,” which supposedly were for wagering for placing bets on a number of games. Winnings were said to be redeemed in cash.
