New Attorney-General targets on Online Gambling

It seems like that the Obama administration is not going to be a much of a help as it was forecasted regards to the online gambling business. Regardless of the President-elect’s compassionate attitude on the matter, in addition to his great interest in Texas Hold ‘em, forthcoming-Attorney-General Derek Holder is unfortunately a devotee of the UIGEA.

In a meeting with US Senator Jon Kyl, Holder verified his principle in the contentious UIGEA. Holder has the same opinion as Kyl’s forecast that under Holder’s management the Department of Justice would keep on enforcing the law forcefully in opposition to the forms of Internet gambling that DOJ sees illegitimate.

On the subject of the UIGEA’s banning fiscal transactions, Holder confirmed that he would be cautious in imposing those rules to close down the streams of cash from prohibited activity.
